VOO Verviers-Pepinster has added American forward Matt Kingsley (206-F-86, college: Stephen F. Austin) to make up for the temporary loss of Chris Devine and Maxime De Zeeuw due to injuries. Kingsley played college ball at Stephen F. Austin till the end of the 2008-2009 season. Kingsley led SFA to the NCAA Tournament this past season and he averaged career highs in both points and rebounds with 15.8 ppg & 7.7 rpg. After leading SFA to a 2nd consecutive Southland Conference championship, Kingsley was named the SLC Player of the Year and he finished the regular season ranked 3rd in the Conference in scoring and 5th in rebounding. His 55.2-percent shooting average ranked 5th in the league and Kingsley was the only player in the Southland to finish in the top five in all three categories. He started the 2009-2010 season with a tryout at Siauliai (Lithuania) before heading to Poland to play for Polonia Warsaw. In November he moved to the Slovak Republic but left there due to financial problems.
