VOO Verviers-Pepinster is slowly getting their team ready for the start of the season. This time they announce the signing of young American guard Stefon Jackson (196-G-85, college: UTEP).

During his college career he was one of the better scorers in the college game.  His last 2 seasons at UTEP, he averaged respectively, 23.6 ppg and 24.5 ppg as a senior. Also not a bad rebounder for a guard with 5.7 and 5.4 rpg his last 2 years.

This earned him All Conference USA 1st team honors in both his junior and senior years. He finished his career as not only UTEP’s, but C-USA’s all time leading scorer.

After his college career and playing in the Portsmouth Invitational he came to Europe. At first he played for Darussafaka Istanbul in Turkey but after a 0-4 start he was released, with stats of 11.0 ppg and 4.0 rpg. He then moved to Greece where he played 11 games for Gymnastikos Olympia Larisa and averaged 10.0 ppg and 2.8 rpg.
