Hammonds leads ALBA Berlin over the San Antonio Spurs

ALBA Berlin took on the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Global Games last night at the O2 Arena in Germany. The NBA champions looked the dominant side in the first period.  They dropped 26 points to take an 8-point lead at the first break.  ALBA unloaded 29 points in the second quarter to narrow the gap at 7 points at halftime.  The Spurs though still led by one point with 5 seconds remaining, but Tim Duncan's (211-F/C-76, college: Wake Forest) inbound pass was stolen and Jamel McLean hit a floating bomb to send the Berlin arena into frenzy.  Clifford Hammonds (191-PG-85, college: Clemson) added 15 points & 5 assists in the win and Kawhi Leonard (201-F-91, college: San Diego St.) and Tim Duncan had 14 points apiece in the loss.
